CHRONICLES OF HOYA

Hoya is the name of a train station in Tokyo. Tens of thousands of Japanese people depart here for their jobs every day, because they live nearby. And so did I in all these years when I was a correspondent for Japan and Korea.

There is almost no story and no journey, that I experienced since my arrival in Japan, that did not begin with a train ride from Hoya station. That’s why this little diary, that I dedicate to the people I met, is called Chronicles of Hoya.
